Solder Pot
A new and much improved solder pot is under way. Five prototypes were made and was almost
immediately takenby customers.
They are square and can be used for soldering small PCB's in instead of the large solder bath.
Pictures and new information will follow soon.
A true production Solder Pot for -FAST- tinning wire and cable-ends, or soldering small PCB's.

Lugs or Ferules can be soldered directly onto cables by hooking the ferule with SS wire or
simply hold in place with a suitable long-nose pliers when dipping.
Cover w crimp sleeving (Pic) to give a finishing touch.
For more solder on the wire ends, reduce temperature, ie. For wire to PCB soldering
For less solder, increase temperature, ie. For terminal insertion.
Transformer winders use our pots to tin the red (and yellow) insulation copper wire
ends before it gets soldered to the transformer tabs. Note that the brown insulation
copper wire temperature is too high to be tinned with the Solder Pot – a special tool is
available for removing the brown insulation.
Using the Solder pot.
Pre-strip the wire or cable ends you want tinned
(Pic of stripped wires, cables and lugs, small PCB)
Method is to bunch the wires, level wire ends
(pic of dipping wire in flux)
dip in suitable solder flux
(Pic of wire bundle dipped in solder pot)
Pic of wires throwed on newspaper
To give you an idea of the time saving involved – A bunch of 50 wires takes a few
seconds to be tinned in the Solder Pot. Do the math.
throw wire bunch onto a piece of newspapers to break apart touching wire-ends.
